About AINEXT Icons

A free icon library for people who draw diagrams and write specs. So far we’ve published 45 sets and 900 icons.

Why we built it

When you’re putting together an architecture diagram or a product spec, finding the right icon for a serverless function, a message queue or a data lakehouse takes far too long. And when you do find them, every site uses a different stroke width and palette, so they clash on the page. AINEXT Icons fixes that by adding a set of icons drawn to the same rules every day.

How the icons are made

  • Each morning we pick a topic, and an AI design pipeline draws a set of 15–20 icons for it.
  • Every icon follows a 48×48 grid with 3px padding and a 3px stroke, and is drawn separately in color, line and solid. Grayscale is made from the color version.
  • Automated checks make sure every SVG is safe (no scripts or external links), the right size and not blank. Each set is then reviewed on a contact sheet at 16px and 24px before it goes live.
